New generation high-speed milling machine Datron NEO SERIES 2: The kinematics of the equipment is almost analogous to the products of the previous generation Datron family. The only innovation is the Y-axis table displacement.  As a result, the machine has added more to its “depth” and the overall width has been reduced substantially.

The machine is equipped with the new generation control system NEXT. The control system has become much more interactive and offers a much more convenient way to operate the machine. In other words, the NEO has turned into a complete Plug & Play system, which by default understands the most popular CAM software on the market. This, in turn, requires the introduction of high-quality CAM software in the production process.

The table surface of the machine is 500 x 400 mm. The spindle power is 2.0 kW. It reaches rotational speed of up to 40,000 rpm. The machine is offered in the market in two versions – a) dynamic version NEO +  b) standard dynamic version NEO. The tool changer is equipped with 24 positions. The process of preparing  the tool does not require industrial tapers – the so-called direct collet clamping method is used. Auxiliaries for this operation are included in the scope of delivery.

The machine is also equipped with the ‘online’ camera and a workpiece probe. The process of part setup is very innovative and uses swipe movements similar to those on your smartphone. The machine is excellent for processing various types of aluminum and other medium hardness materials. Industrial ethanol (user friendly) is used for cooling the part/tool. The parts do not need washing after machining process.
